Vanessa Anaya, PA-C
Vanessa earned her undergraduate degree in International Development Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She went on to pursue medicine at The George Washington University, where she earned her Master of Science in Health Sciences (MSHS) and became board certified as a Physician Assistant (PA-C).
She began her career in medical oncology and hematology at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center, a Kaiser Northern California center of excellence for inpatient acute leukemia and lymphoma care. There, she discovered her passion for caring for oncology and hematology patients, particularly in the inpatient setting, where she values supporting patients through complex diagnoses, symptom management, and transitions in care.
Vanessa is now honored to care for patients with Pacific Cancer Care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, including hematology and oncology consultative services at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP). She supports continuity of care from diagnosis through treatment and beyond. Grounded in evidence-based care, she brings warmth, human connection, and compassionate support to patients and families at every stage of care.
