Dr. Simran Sekhon is a board-certified hematologist-oncologist with experience across academic and community settings, managing a broad range of solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. With additional fellowship training in palliative medicine, she integrates symptom management and quality-of-life–focused care into routine oncology practice. She is committed to providing accessible, evidence-based care and working closely with referring physicians to ensure coordinated treatment.
Simran Sekhon, MD
Dr. Sekhon completed fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Tennessee and fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Stanford University. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at San Joaquin General Hospital, where she also served as Chief Resident. Following her training, Dr. Sekhon has practiced across both academic and community oncology settings, caring for patients with a broad range of solid tumors and hematologic disorders. She has a particular clinical interest in breast, gastrointestinal, and thoracic malignancies, as well as the integration of palliative care principles into routine oncology care. She has been involved in clinical research and has presented her work at national meetings, including ASCO, CTOS, and SABCS. Dr. Sekhon is committed to delivering thoughtful, evidence-based cancer care with an emphasis on accessibility, continuity, and close collaboration with referring physicians.
Dr. Sekhon lives in the Bay Area and enjoys alpine skiing, hiking, and traveling. She has a strong
interest in baking and exploring new cuisines, and values time spent with her family and close-knit
community.
