Eva Montes-Portis, MSW, LCSW

Eva Montes-Portis, MSW, LCSW, is a bilingual (English and Spanish) Oncology, Palliative, and Hospice Social Worker with specialized expertise in medical and behavioral health. She delivers comprehensive, culturally competent psychosocial care to patients facing chronic and terminal illness, with a particular strength in connecting with individuals in their preferred language.

Her clinical experience includes prior service as a Dialysis Social Worker supporting patients with End-Stage Renal Disease. She earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from California State University, Monterey Bay, with a concentration in Behavioral Health.

Demonstrating a sustained commitment to health equity and regional leadership, Ms. Montes-Portis currently serves as a Board Member of Interim Inc. in Monterey County. She previously held a board position with the Health Improvement Partnership of Santa Cruz County and has mentored graduate students for three consecutive years through the CSUMB BHWET program.

In her personal time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, walking the beaches of Monterey County, and spending time with her family.
